We are excited to announce a new series of super FUN lacrosse events happening this Fall called SUPER SUNDAYS with Lafayette resident, lacrosse pro, (and our new 8U boys coach this Spring), Lorne Smith!

SUPER SUNDAYS are designed for boys and girls ages K-14 of all experience levels to get out and have some fun for an hour on a Sunday afternoon in no pad tennis ball skills instruction, 3x free play games, plus shooting contests and lots of fun!  Always wanted to try lacrosse, or have a friend that you want to get into it?  This is your chance!  Loaner sticks available.  Are you an experienced player who wants to keep improving and have fun playing with friends?  Come out and learn something new, get more reps, and play 3x with friends and coaches!

Our friends from TRUE (www.truetothegame.com) have provided some contest prizes, and every session will include some radar gun "Call Your Shot" games for TRUE gear!  Fun, friends, and lacrosse community - that is what SUPER SUNDAYS are all about.  Check out the flyer below and feel free to email or call Lorne directly with questions (

,415 516 6720).  These are drop in style events, $15 per session.

If you are an experienced player in HS (or maybe even a very experienced 14U) that wants to help work with our new youngest beginners, we'd love to have you help out!  Just let Lorne know if you want to come out to help!

Dear Lamorinda Lacrosse Families:

We are excited to share that our evaluations for the Spring 2019 season will take place on November 11, 2018 and registration for evaluations will open today,  September 20th.

We are also pleased to announce our new and improved Lacrosse Development Program (LDP) for emerging players who would like to learn the sport in a fun environment, building their skills while learning from top coaches from local schools and travel clubs.  The LDP is intended to bring players quickly up the learning curve and build their passion for the sport with weekly, fast-paced clinics that focus on technique and lacrosse IQ through a mix of high rep drills and scrimmages.  For those players who become game ready during LDP, opportunities may arise to play a few games with one of the competitive teams.  LDP will take place weekly in the Spring on Sundays for a 10 week period.  For more details, please visit the LDP page on our website.

Here is the new format for this year’s evaluations and LDP:

1)  Direct Registration for LDP:  For players opting for LDP, please visit the LDP page on our website after September 20th and register directly for LDP, which will start in the Spring.

2)  14U, 12U and 10U Evaluations:  For players that would like to be evaluated for placement on one of the two teams for each age level (14U, 12U, 10U), please go to lamorindalacrosse.com and pay just $10 to register for the evaluations.  During evaluations, our coaching staff will assess each player and identify the appropriate placement (i.e. on one of two competitive league teams for each age level, or we will recommend placement in LDP for this season).   Similar to last year, we will be asking independent lacrosse coaches to help us with the evaluations.  Our goal is to ensure everyone is matched with the best playing opportunity based on their experience and skill level.  Your player will receive notification of their team or LDP placement within 1-2 weeks after the evaluations.  At that time, each player will have the opportunity to accept the invite by registering and paying for the Spring season.

3)  8U Registration:  There will be no evaluations for 8U.  Registration for the 8U division will open today, September 20.

If you have any questions, please contact Jin Peavey at  .

We are all looking forward to a fun lacrosse season!
