BOYS LACROSSE CAMPS

            ADVNC:  http://www.advnclacrosse.com/advnc-camps/

The Advnc training system (ATS) is a complete training method that focuses on creating the ideal learning environment for aspiring young lacrosse players.  Our up-tempo practices are designed to increase skill, on-field awareness, decision making, and athleticism.  ATS also incorporates aspects of the latest research in development to create resilient athletes.  At ADVNC we believe it is good enough to create just good lacrosse players but feel a larger responsibility to shape young men of character.

Our aim is to make NORCAL the best place to play lacrosse on the West Coast and, ultimately, in the country. The lacrosse landscape has changed dramatically over the past decade. In Matt Ogelsby’s (AWL owner and founder) hometown of Philadelphia, the top national college lacrosse programs once ignored talented players, instead choosing to recruit from the traditional lacrosse hotbeds of Baltimore, Long Island, and upstate New York.

As a high school junior, Matt was overlooked by the elite programs of that time. Fortunately, Duke gave him the opportunity to play Division I lacrosse. When he graduated in 1995, Duke was ranked #4 in the country and Matt was the first Division I First Team All-American named from Duke since the 1950′s. The West Coast has terrific athletes and there is no reason why it, too, can’t contribute to the nation’s top programs. Over time, we are confident it will- we are starting to take huge strides already.

I love lacrosse, and I love to coach. I value each opportunity I have to help players develop skills and passion for the game. At my programs, players can expect a fun, safe, and competitive environment.

Each session will include 1) a warm-up 2) individual stick skills 3) small group stick skills 4) position specific instruction and 5) team concepts. My goal is that you leave a program a more confident lacrosse player; possessing new skills ready for success on the field.

Please join me and my staff of Men's Collegiate Lacrosse Association (MCLA) players and coaches this Summer. I have been coaching and living in the Walnut Creek/ Lamorinda area for 9 years. I hope this summer is the start/ continuation of a great lacrosse relationship. I look forward to being a regular component of your lacrosse development. -Coach Colin

Tim Booth is a multi-award winning, dual-sport professional athlete. He has spent his life around the game of lacrosse. Growing up just outside of Syracuse, New York, the game was everywhere, and Tim played in all kinds of ways. From the fields of local reservations, where native peoples continue their 600 year-old traditions, to big time college ball, played at the Carrier Dome at Syracuse University, lacrosse was a constant part of
Tim's life.
